What do you do at Simplus?
Since I’ve been at Simplus I’ve worked as a Solution Architect on an enterprise-level Salesforce Sales Cloud implementation. When I have time, I also enjoy working with others at Simplus supporting the Salesforce practice.
What are some achievements of which you are most proud? Both professionally and personally.
Professionally, besides being so proud of becoming a successful Salesforce consultant, I am really happy that I’ve been able to get so involved in the Salesforce community. I especially love contributing to the Salesforce design and business analysis communities. Between mentorship, speaking engagements, blogging, coaching, and volunteer work, I am super busy and super fulfilled.
Personally, I am a proud mom to my two boys and I adore the life my husband and I have built.
What are your hobbies?
I don’t have too many hobbies these days as I am mostly SaaL (Salesforce as a Lifestyle), but in the pre-Covid days, I used to love going to concerts and traveling. I still do quite a bit of hiking when I can.
Why do you like working at Simplus?
I like working at Simplus because the people are great. From my manager to the PDC team to the weekly architect meetings, I’ve learned so much about consulting and Salesforce. There’s no competition here, just everyone wants to see everyone succeed.
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
I spent the first almost 17 years of my career at an ad tech SaaS organization that focused on the radio industry. During that time I went from intern to VP, Business Operations. CRM was always a big part of my job, but it wasn’t until 2010 that I discovered Salesforce, and it completely changed how I approached solving business problems. With my background and MBA, consulting and business analysis became my focus when I decided to move my career full-time into Salesforce project work. I absolutely love making people’s jobs easier using Salesforce.
What do you feel are your greatest contributions that help make Simplus the best consulting firm?
I am in awe of the technical expertise of this staff, so I am glad that I can contribute my business and process know-how. With my business analyst background, I’m usually able to keep a pristine Jira board which does wonders when I work these long, enterprise engagements. I also think staying so engaged in the Salesforce community helps me help Simplus keep up on the latest trends and opportunities.
If you are playing Two Truths and a Lie, what answers stump people every time?
I can usually stump folks when I mention I was a fake defendant on the pilot episode of “We the People with Gloria Allred.” I fake sued someone for switching my coffee from regular to decaf and it was amazing. I love court shows and playing an extra on one when I first moved to LA was a dream come true!
Congratulations, Vanessa!
