Caroline Chambers is our latest Simplus employee feature! In the past eight months since she started with Simplus, Caroline has already become a trusted resource on some of our biggest engagements and client initiatives. She is known by her colleagues for being positive, flexible, highly professional, and skilled in all things Revenue Cloud. We took a moment to get to know more about Caroline with a quick Q&A—read on!
What do you do at Simplus?
I am a Solution Architect. I work with clients to get their requirements on new Salesforce implementations and figure out how to create a system that covers all their needs and work with our dev team to build it.
What are some achievements of which you are most proud? Both professionally and personally.
I have always wanted to live in a big city, and truthfully, I have always wanted to be a Salesforce Consultant. I have been working towards those goals for the last several years. This past year, I accomplished both by starting here at Simplus and by moving to Chicago. I have had the most rewarding 2021 by living out both of those goals, and am so happy to have known that achieving those goals would have brought me so much joy.
What are your hobbies?
I like to read, hang out with my dogs, explore my city, and I love fashion and shopping. Online shopping is how I spend a lot of my free time, especially with all these sales going on!!
Why do you like working at Simplus?
On one of my first days, I was invited to a group meeting with the CEO and got to introduce myself. The fact that the CEO is so invested in meeting his new employees shows me the type of person I work for and gave me an incredible first impression of the company. On top of this, I love working in a place where everyone has a similar industry and skills focus. Being an in-house Salesforce Admin for a company as I had in previous roles, there’s often no one else with the same skillset to brainstorm with. At Simplus, there is a wealth of knowledge and willingness to help and collaborate. There is always someone able to help steer you in the right direction!
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
I started my career in IT recruiting, which I wasn’t passionate about when I began, so my personal motivator when working with recruits was to interview them in such a way that gave me insight into whether or not I would have interest in that career. I found my way into a company that had a need for a Salesforce Admin, so I started volunteering for different projects just to learn and ended up pitching a new job for myself which was accepted. I have been so fortunate in my career to always have a mentor or someone who believed in me helping, but I have also worked my butt off to get to a job that I knew I would like. Being happy in my career is my main motivator and I am very happy to have found that in my career today!
What do you feel are your greatest contributions that help make Simplus the best consulting firm?
I think I have a really open-minded perspective and like to make sure that those around me are successful. Whatever I can contribute to my team or colleagues, I will. Whether that be leadership coaching, which is a passion of mine, or being an ear to brainstorm to, I try to elevate myself and those around me. Stronger employees will create a stronger company.
If you are playing Two Truths and a Lie, what answers stump people every time?
I used to be a pretty good pole vaulter all throughout high school! I hurt my leg and couldn’t continue after or I would have vaulted in college as well.
