Simplus was recognized at Utah’s Golden Key Awards event this week as the Freedom Award winner for our commitment to hiring veterans. The event was presented by the Utah Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and the Department of Workforce Services’ Utah State Office of Rehabilitation as part of the Disability:IN Utah annual summit. All of us at Simplus are honored to receive this recognition!
Key to Simplus’ commitment to veterans is our alliance with Salesforce Military, Salesforce’s program for providing resources, community, and support to veterans and their spouses. This means we guarantee an interview with any applying veteran or military spouse.
Simplus has several veteran hires already, and we are always looking for more because, as Simplus CEO Ryan Westwood put it, “we end up with employees that are more resilient … they have a greater propensity for discipline and self-mastery.” In addition to our veteran recruiting efforts, we also provide continued training and certification support to further the careers and professional development of our veteran employees.
Thank you to the Utah Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation for presenting Simplus with this award and for continuing to spread awareness about opportunities for veteran career development here in Silicon Slopes!
